@baynkr Very true. But one would have to make a distinction between a discretionary Trader with this in check versus a mechanical Trader. Two different paths of mastery. One somewhat more challenging than the other with different risk profiles and contrasting returns.

I’ll go on record and say 95% of what developing traders call “psychology problems” are really just gaps in their process. If you’re constantly chasing trades it means your entry rules aren’t clear enough. If you’re freezing up at exits it’s because you never defined your targets. If you’re panicking every time price moves against you it’s because you’re sized wrong or never built a position sizing framework in the first place. Moves that fall within your process shouldn’t cause panic. All of this stuff flows directly from process. Stop reading mindset books and start defining your process. Your trading shapes your mindset, not the other way around.

I see this pattern repeat endlessly: - Trader buys multiple funded accounts - Goes maximum leverage into momentum trades - Blows up several accounts - Eventually hits a winner - Posts the winning screenshot on Twitter - Rinses and repeats They overrisk in the short term chasing immediate returns, celebrating these modest wins while unknowingly sabotaging their long term potential. What's truly ironic is that the very behaviors these programs reward—maximum leverage, gambling mentality, quick profits—are precisely what disqualify you from ever operating at real scale in institutional settings. This cycle, while potentially lucrative short term (relative to zero, but completely meaningless in institutional contexts), trains a mindset that is the absolute antithesis of what works in professional trading. You're not learning to trade—you're learning to gamble. The funded account ecosystem has created a perverse incentive structure where blowing up accounts is just part of the process. @austinsilverfx Seasoned amateurs more like. FOMC days provide insight to policy changes, anticipated asset repricing etc…. I base my whole month around these days and look forward to them like a puppy welcoming home their beloved owner.

Seasoned traders take FOMC day off. I intentionally booked my flight today for that reason. I’ve lost more than I’ve made on FOMC. Take my advice and then you don’t have to write some gay sob story on X about why you blew your account.

@pip_raider There’s ways to dum down the volatility on a particular asset class/instrument to cut out rapid price changes. We could turn the NQ into ZN. i)I’d suggest changing the tick increment on NQ for example from 0. 25 to 1.0 or 2.0 etc ii) chart interval update to something like 500+

@Mattlee987Matt Yes but most traders can't handle the emotional rollercoaster especially on prop accounts that have tight risk parameters. There are traders who are consistent and emotionally resilient. This tweet is not intended for them.

Unpopular opinion 🫠 Most traders should not be trading NQ or MNQ. It messes with your emotions too much, making you seem like you're a bad trader. There are other products out there peeps. Try $HG or $PL instead. Slower smoother movement can do wonders for your mental well being.

Initial NQ price discovery move up last week, found liquidity distribution around 21200 level.... now triggering a repair move back down the weekly range today. I expect a large downside move here.
