I think the reason this rubs so many people wrong is because especially on the left a lot of y'all are used to being morally superior to the average person jyst for believing in the right stuff and this points out a behavioural moral flaw that threatens that superiority complex

yes actually! humans need to eat, it is not inherently evil to kill an animal to eat. animals kill each other all the time. indigenous communities have quite literally forever given animals dignified deaths, honoring them and their spirit and their sacrifice.

Meat eaters don’t even attempt to defend an ethic anymore they just look at you like this

idk how vegans and vegetarians who got the "annoying" stigma when the most basic blanket statements such as "meat industry bad" or "animals are friends" get people to spiral into blind rage like damn

if this horrifies you, good! do something with that, change yourself and your habits in a meaningful way that helps stop this horror show. staying ignorant keeps the torture machine of death churning, but plant-based lifestyles and volunteering at sanctuaries make a difference!
