The 5th and 6th amendment applies to everyone in America. Regardless of citizenship or legal standing. 5th Amendment No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation Note that it says “No person”. 6th Amendment: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence. Note that it says “In all” The Alien Enemies Act also gives the accused the right to contest it and it requires the accuser to give notice to the accused.

Well, most people place value on human life. Others have no moral compass and place no value on human life. How is this possible? Mental defect, spiritual defect, or so angry and full of hatred they want to make others as miserable as possible. Children are the most pure and innocent among us. They are to be protected at all cost, or there isn't a point to anything else we do.

It depends on the government building and purpose. If the purpose was to change an election or something of that nature then yes. Also justice isnt equal. It never has been or will be You can run as a felon. There was nothing stopping him from running. You could argue it was to make him look bad, but if he did it then thats the problem. Also being a candidate or former president does not immunize you

So, you believe we should have charged the BLM rioters with treason? They attacked federal buildings. The damage caused by them was a thousand times greater in terms of dollars. I agree about political violence. Fines should be a percentage of what? That wouldn’t be equal justice. Laws should apply to everyone equally. Novel legal theories? Ya think? Not the least of which was going after a former president. But, in his case…he was still a very viable political opponent and they pulled out all the stops to prevent another run. Everything they tried backfired. They tried to contort the law to taint him as a felon and it became a rallying point because many of us recognized the blatant lawfare.
