i wanna start by saying, jaafar jackson was possessed by michael himself, OUTSTANDING performance this film truly broke my heart in more ways than one unexpectedly because for the first time, i truly SAW michael and this is just the first part of these films / his story. watching michael's childhood, it broke my heart knowing he never had a real chance, even as an adult, he still was just a big kid who saw the good in the world and in everyone despite the ugliness he constantly faced. the inside look into his creative process was also an unexpected treat that i immediately attached myself to the moment they started showing his connection to the creative force and the music flowing through him, it was very much appreciated despite the sometimes quick pacing, this only being the first part and with no expectations, i was genuinely blown away experiencing chills multiple times throughout each FULL LENGTH performances we were treated to with live vocals, yes live vocals. i may have just watched a film, but today, i saw michael. 9.2/10 (outstanding)
