@piperocktheory The nano would be awesome to have “remastered” the small size made it perfect for travel. I remember those sleeves with pockets just for them; that size again with Bluetooth connection would be peak for golf, gym, hiking, cycling, etc.

said this a million times but Apple are idiots for not doing a 25th anniversary iPod this year clickwheel, multiple colors, Apple Music, Bluetooth and AirPods support, a good DAC and storage up to 2 TB just to appease the audiophiles — boom, you have the product of Christmas 26

@SusieM414141 Absolutely. Good for the private business denying it as they please. And good for them refusing to be filmed without consent without dealing with dudes like this. Also as a restaurant manager, if there is anyone you should have ZERO empathy for, it’s DoorDash drivers

This DoorDash driver is just finding out he has been banned from picking up deliveries from all the Chop Shop locations because he live-tapes his work for social media. She says he’s been recording their staff, including underage workers. So who is right? Is he covered by the 1A in this instance, or is she right for protecting the employees? Not sure she can legally stop that.
Suzee Q@SusieM414141

Imagine you're just waiting for your food to arrive that you ordered and you see this. This man decides to disrupt an entire restaurant and go on a tirade of destruction, throwing chairs and smashing things. What would you do if you were a patron and he did this to your table? Or if you were the owner of the restaurant? Update in comments below.

@_cluxter_ @AngelMD1103 I do also agree with that. Tips should always reflect service though; a server confronting on their tip is extremely unprofessional and rude I completely agree. Last defense, people should also go with tip money, if you don’t have tip money/don’t want to, McDonald’s is 24/7

@Mattykoolio @AngelMD1103 It makes sense. Then the waiters need to stop bitching about the customers who don't tip or don't tip enough. If on average they make more money on a non mandatory contribution from their customers, then they should let them tip or not without complaining.

She didn’t just serve tables… she studied people. Smiles, eye contact, hesitation, she learned exactly when someone was about to spend more… or tip less. And, according to her, that’s where the “morally questionable” tactics came in. She’d casually start listing the most expensive options first, letting customers get overwhelmed until they just said “yeah, that one.” Bigger bill… bigger tip. It worked more often than it should. But that wasn’t even the part that made people uncomfortable. When a table left a small tip, she’d switch instantly, soft voice, concerned expression, even crouching down beside them. “Was there something wrong with my service?” she’d ask, holding the receipt just enough for them to see. Awkward silence. Guilt creeping in. And just like that… wallets opened again. But her most shocking moment? After forgetting a table for nearly 45 minutes, she came back with an apology and a story about performing CPR on someone outside. The mood flipped instantly… and they left her a huge tip. Now the internet is split, some calling it genius, others calling it straight manipulation. This says a lot about how easily emotions; guilt, pressure, and sympathy can be turned into money. Question: If you found out your server used tactics like this on you… would you feel played, or would you respect the hustle?
Dr. CZ@AngelMD1103

She paid for convenience… but got frustration instead. Every single week, like clockwork, the same name popped up on her delivery app, Amber. Same shopper. Same driver. And somehow… the same problem. Missing items. Every. Time. At first, she brushed it off. Mistakes happen. But when it became a pattern, it stopped feeling like an accident and started feeling personal. Then came the message that pushed her over the edge: “Canned Pepsi is unavailable.” That was it. That was the moment something didn’t sit right. Because this wasn’t the first time. So instead of accepting it, she did something unexpected, she got in her car and drove straight to the store herself. Heart pounding, phone in hand, ready to prove what she already suspected. She walked through those doors… turned into the beverage aisle… …and froze. Shelves. Fully stocked. Rows and rows of canned Pepsi staring right back at her. Not low. Not hidden. Not sold out. Plenty. At that moment, it wasn’t about soda anymore. It was about trust. She took photos. Filed a complaint. Spoke to management. Because, how many other people were being told the same thing? How many orders were being quietly shorted while customers paid full price? This is exactly why people are starting to question these delivery services… it only takes one bad experience repeated too many times. If this happened to you, would you have let it go… or would you have gone to the store to catch the truth yourself?

@_cluxter_ @AngelMD1103 Taxes. And with the new tax cut even more. I get where people come from on this but they have never worked in a restaurant or had to deal with the COGS. Which no shame, but you’re going to make it to where your only food options are McDonald’s and Red Robin.

@_cluxter_ @AngelMD1103 The server gets to make more, the table gets better service, the restaurant sells product. Average restaurants aren’t like multi billion fast food chains. Paying taxes on employees, benefits, then you get to wages, keeping them tipped employees benefits employer and employee on

@deckedoutmag I’ve never enjoyed biopics, but with the love I have for Michael, there’s no way you could do his life justice in one two hour movie. His childhood, Jackson 5, thriller, bad, the 2000’s, Sony, sabotaged and framed, potentially murdered. His life would take 3 seasons of 1hr eps

Takashi Yamazaki shares new details on 'Godzilla Minus Zero' • Runtime is around the same as the first film • Bigger budget with more complex VFX — “each shot that requires VFX is more complex than [the first film]” • Film will have dialogue in both Japanese and English • US military is a big part of the film's central theme • High percentage of shots are filmed in IMAX format — especially the fights and action sequences "[One part] was probably one of the best kaiju sequences that I've ever seen ... Given my career ... I think it's very hard to get excited about VFX shots ... but the fact that I got goosebumps looking at [it] means audiences are going to see something they’ve never seen before" (via @Collider)

Steven Spielberg. Denis Villeneuve. David Fincher. Christopher Nolan. Alejandro Iñárritu. Those are just a few big-name directors releasing films in 2026. Now add Robert Eggers to that list, who’s releasing Werwulf on Christmas. When I tell you Cinema is back, just take my word.

Christopher Nolan just showed Trojan Horse footage from The Odyssey at CinemaCon. The business math behind this movie is wild. $250 million budget. His most expensive film ever. First movie shot entirely on IMAX 70mm cameras. No franchise, no sequel, no superhero IP. The source material is a 3,000-year-old poem. IMAX opening weekend tickets went on sale a full year before release. They sold out in 12 hours. $1.5 million in ticket revenue before a single TV spot aired. The trailer pulled 121.4 million views in 24 hours. More than Universal's Wicked sequel. More than double what Oppenheimer's first trailer did in the same window. Today's footage confirmed Charlize Theron is playing Calypso, the nymph who kept Odysseus trapped on her island for seven years. The scene opens with Damon asking her "How long have I been here?" He can't remember if he had a wife or a son. That's pure Nolan. Starting the story in captivity, with a man who's lost his own identity. The same filmmaker who opened Memento backwards. The cast is absurd: Damon, Holland, Hathaway, Pattinson, Zendaya as Athena, Lupita Nyong'o, Theron, Bernthal as Menelaus, Safdie as Agamemnon, Mia Goth, Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Travis Scott. Nolan joked it would be faster to list who isn't in it. His last five films averaged $680 million worldwide. Oppenheimer made $976 million with an R rating and a three-hour runtime about a physicist. Every studio spent the last decade convinced original films can't open big. Nolan's response: adapt the oldest story in Western literature. Homer's been in public domain for about 2,500 years. Nolan IS the franchise. His name on a poster does what a superhero logo used to do. Universal figured this out when they signed him after Warner Bros let him walk over a streaming window dispute. Twenty years of partnership, gone. July 17. IMDb's most anticipated film of 2026. Built from a poem your ninth-grade English teacher assigned.
