Given the shortages with amoxicillin suspension I thought it would be worthwhile to compare alternative antibiotic therapies for PNA (i.e., increased risk of more resistant/higher MIC Strep Pneumoniae) and why you should choose cefprozil >>> cefdinir 🧵

Cefdinir is poorly absorbed and highly protein bound. Time > MIC is suboptimal ==> not recommended for CAP. *Cefdinir does not equal ceftriaxone. It isn't a step up for failed amoxicillin or amoxicillin-clavulanate. #AAP2022

Still confused? Think back to this square/rectangle example from elementary school. All physicians are doctors. Not all doctors are physicians.

I will never understand why it is so hard for people to grasp that #doctor does NOT equal #physician. I have never claimed to be a physician, but I am a doctor. As are my friends with PhDs. This is not a debate - it’s literally factual information. #PharmD #TwitteRx

I would submit that breakups do NOT need to happen in person. An ex once had me drive an hour and fifteen minutes just to break up with me and honestly, it could have been done over the phone.

@blktinabelcher At 28, I thought I had my life figured out. Then my job offer was rescinded, and my husband unexpectedly filed for divorce. 2 years later, my life is nothing like I expected or planned, but it is more beautiful than I could have every imagined. Having it figured out is overrated

I’m 28, so I’m almost there, but can people in their 30s and older please (gently) tell me that it’s going to get better and I don’t need to have figured out my entire life in two years? 🥺
