@ZeroHedge_ Am I certain I'm correct, no. But business is done in person at the lunch table, golf course etc. Be personable, make friends and learn from people and you'll probably be okay

@ZeroHedge_ Generally speaking? Pushing people skills and problem solving as much as I can more than a specific field. I sit on a couple client advisory boards. The general consensus is quality talent is very hard to find, so many awkward high anxiety people, or Brainless AI users

Here’s a question I have for parents. How do you guide your kids right now with regards to school and college when it comes to career path in the light of everything going on with AI? What are you telling them to do? I’m not a parent, but I would like to be oneday. I often think about questions like this. Especially lately

@markallanbovair The real real truth is college sports is basically a genetic lottery/natural talent for the big hitters sports. I was from nowhere Canada but very good at football, no fancy training or travel teams and got recruited to the US. Also the "trainers" don't know what they're doing

Most parents pay for travel volleyball / baseball chasing scholarships when: 1) They’ll spend way more than the value of any scholarship and 2) their daughter/son has a 10x better chance of a scholarship by running track or cross country, which are basically free.
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

If you’re a parent and you think — spending on kids sports is out of control — you’re not wrong. Look at spending on youth sports since 2019. Graphic via @wsj.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

Cineplex CEO Ellis Jacob says Canadian films are struggling because of “poor quality.” No. That’s not it. I love going to the movies. I’ve been going to theatres since I was a teenager. The problem isn’t the films. It’s the cost of concessions. Everyone wants popcorn and a drink at a movie. But when popcorn is $12, drinks are $8–$9, and snacks are $6+, a simple movie night suddenly costs a fortune. People aren’t staying home because of the movies. They’re staying home because Cineplex made movie night too expensive. 🍿

From today’s Star, you can understand why we are not actually poorer than Alabama, and why you should never listen to Fraser Institute rich-person propaganda. “At current exchange rates, Canada’s median income stands near $38,700 versus $46,600 in the United States, still a 17 per cent difference in America’s favour. Adjusted for purchasing power, however, Canada’s median rises to around $45,300, while the U.S. median falls to approximately $41,200. On that basis, the typical Canadian earns about 10 per cent more than the typical American.” Excerpt From “Opinion | Are Americans really doing better than Canadians? @ItsDeanBlundell When you go off the deep end publicly Alberta is one of the friendliest places I've been in Canada, Halifax is 1. Toronto is full of socially anxious wannabe new Yorkers What's Toronto's culture? Your kids not being able to afford to stay in the area and leaving?

Alberta has ZERO culture. None. Unless you count oil patch hillbillies getting blackout wasted "culture". The only cultures Alberta has are those of the indigenous population and Ukrainians. Racist, uneducated Neckbeards with pick-up trucks are not a culture. They're societal speedbumps.
Alberta Separation@albertaseparate

Alberta has a distinct Culture Generations of Alberta families have roots working hard ranching or in oil and gas at market values Generations of Quebec Dairy farmers have roots working for a large dairy cartel fixing the price of milk for Canadians We are not the same #AlbertaSeparation

This is why right wing people are dorks Saying this as a conservative guy. It's a halftime show at an event. Who cares. They cast a fishing hook to bait people to get upset and these dorks swallow the hook. Side note - Puerto Rico is very fun. Go on vacation there
