This story proves Nico was using MacMahon to smear Luka long before the trade, because he wanted to create right conditions for the trade. Luka's health clearly had nothing to do with why Nico traded him for an injury prone AD. He hated Luka for completely non-basketball reasons.

You should believe harrison is a dumbass because all the smart moves coincide with Dennis Lindsey's involvement. The KP move was selling low. The Kyrie move was great. He tried to send TWO FIRSTS for Kuzma but Lindsey helped him rebound for Gafford/Washington. Then Lindsey either moved on or was pushed out and I'd bet the latter given harrison's ego. He's since signed a broken dante exum, fielded a roster of mostly forwards, and doesn't know how basketball works. He's that dumb and that arrogant. It's THE deadly combo.

I just keep thinking about the Luka Doncic trade which is weird cause it happened forever ago but I just refuse to believe Nico Harrison is a dumbass. Like he built a team comprised of an all world secondary creator in Kyrie, a bunch of versatile wing defenders, rim defenders/lob threats, perfectly complementing Luka which got them to the Finals. Then once they got stomped he upgraded the shooting talent on the team and they were probably better, Luka gets hurt on Christmas Day, and he decides to trade him a month and change later well before the deadline. After assembling the perfect squad, citing championship aspirations as to why. I lightly brushed off the rigged jokes as simply jokes, but in a league that has been littered with scandals recently I just can’t make sense of it whatsoever every move he made up to that point was so calculated and perfect. And even if he wanted to get out of the Luka business because he thought the roster construction had a clear cap of not being able to attain a championship, the package in return was simply so awful it’s unbelievable. I’m just rambling but it just makes less sense putting it all together the guy was getting praise from Mavs fans for the amazing team building work he was doing and he does that, amidst a new ownership regime. The documentary will be fascinating one day.

@miss77ela Same. But I am also glad people saw the light eventually. What bothers me the most is that I see the same people constantly complaining during the Luka era, that are now complaining they miss Luka. They took him for granted!

I think why they didn't realise that though, is simply because logically you don't comprehend the reality that you get the best player in the world for AD lmao. I get it. But you did!! You traded 10 bucks for a million Dollars. It IS actually true.

I feel like Lakers fans haven't realised how good Luka is until recently. Which is a little weird to me, because he was the scoring champ 2 years ago and did just out of this world remarkable stuff all around for years now.
