@archer_rs Blue sky is like Twitter was in the good days
English

@JKnussen @archer_rs They’ll be too busy wondering why they spelt “chemtrails” wrong.
English

@archer_rs I hope it doesn't get confused with this story, which might actually be good for the climate:
BBC News - Cheap fix floated for plane vapour's climate damage
bbc.com/news/articles/…
English

@archer_rs And you wonder how he got voted in… stupid is as stupid does.
English

@covshit @Snewsma @typicallytina @ianw55 I think fool is far too tame a term for “a member of Reform”.
And gosh. Imagine not singing an anthem you don’t believe in.
English

@typicallytina @ianw55 A unionist Zionist from Kirkcaldy, I think it’s pretty clear to see who’s thick as fuck here, and it isn’t the voters of the SNP.
English

@CliveWismayer @archer_rs Is “fou” not French for crazy?
English

@archer_rs Was once a queen’s bishop, now a king’s. Which is illegal. Funnily enough we are the only ones who call the chess piece a bishop. The French call it a ‘fou’ while the unromantic Germans call it a ‘laufer’ (runner).
English

@archer_rs Well no wonder. You can’t associate with someone like Meghan and expect to get away with it. (Always her fault).
English

@archer_rs @FireflyFan941 To be fair he did backtrack on his election promises.
English

@FireflyFan941 I agree, time to end the trans nonsense once and for all. A clear simple unambiguous statement should do it,
"People can't change sex, there is no place for men in women's sport"
I assume you agree?

I had high hopes for Starmer and he's exceeded them. What a great PM he has quickly become.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer
I am honoured to be in Paris to stand united with President @EmmanuelMacron in tribute to the fallen who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we enjoy today.
English

@doublehelix All the GC people in Scotland picked up on those things and deliberately misinterpreted as “the school will force your child to want to change gender” when in fact it says the school is allowed to safeguard the child if it deems it necessary.
English

@michaelrabb9 @IrvineWelsh Oh dear. Duped much?
English

@IrvineWelsh Ain’t fascism buddy it’s everyone’s best chance at prosperity.
English

@rosscolquhoun @AnasSarwar They had so better not reintroduce tuition fees in Scotland. Hands off Scotland Starmer.
English

Someone should ask @AnasSarwar if he backs this Labour policy because I'm sure voters Scotland would be interested.
The SNP@theSNP
🚨 CONFIRMED: Labour is raising tuition fees in England for the first time in eight years. 🚨 Starmer’s Labour Party is looking at ways to reintroduce tuition fees via the back door in Scotland. The SNP is clear - no tuition fees in Scotland.
English

@Bbmorg No she isn’t. I had cancer treatment without being able to see my mum, or have anyone with me. It was a horribly lonely time.
English

@63FANTILLI What about people who need inhalers and similar also?
English

@HeckinGoodDogs Most dogs have a pretty good understanding of a lot of words. I mean, they don’t have a clue about your existential crises, but they know and understand much more than you’d think.

Knowing for the past few weeks that this moment was fast approaching didn’t make it any less heartbreaking to hear the news early this morning that Janey had died.
Janey Godley truly was a force of nature, and one of the funniest people I have ever known. I was able to visit her in the hospice a couple of weeks ago and though she was fragile, she still had me in stitches.
Janey was also incredibly kind. And she made the world a better place.
A bond was forged between us in the darkest days of Covid when her famous voiceovers of my daily briefings went viral. In the toughest of times, she made people laugh - and that was precious. She did more that that though. In managing to project the serious public health messages of my briefings to a much wider audience than I would have managed alone, she helped save lives.
The photos on this post are from an event we did together last year - it was a special night.
I was so proud to call Janey a friend and will miss her hugely. My heart goes out to her family and many friends - they are in my thoughts today.
I know Frank will have been there, holding the door for her as she went - with a tear in his eye, as I have in mine. RIP my friend ❤️
