@templecrash@ParallelTCG No way to tell. Lol. It’s still closed Beta. Me and my buddy who play TCGs hardcore and break them on WN have been dying to stream this game
@CCalcano@PivoUlivo@dominharvia@kaibudde I have seen you play since you first started as this scrappy kid willing to lose it all in money drafts just to soak up knowledge and get better. I couldn’t be happier and more proud of anyone. You deserve this!
What an absurd weekend, made the top 8 of #PTLOTR along with my teammates @PivoUlivo and @dominharvia . So incredibly happy right now and very much looking forward to a match I’ve waited for my whole career. Finally get to play against the legend @kaibudde !!!
@mtgdrip I love this idea. Maybe change the name to include more POCs. I’m Afro Latino and have had to deal with a lot and do not look black. But because I am different then the most and clearly have color I have had my instances of biases and profiling. I agree no one does enough here
I have given alot of thought and time into this. Today I would like to announce the formation of the Black League of Magic. In this community I feel like there is not a safe space for minorities and POC to achieve goals in competitive play in a tournament series.
@AliEldrazi So I think whether you know them or not matters here. It shouldn’t but it definitely does. This is a very interesting scenario and I can see it going multiple different ways over the course of multiple different times if you ran it as a simulator. No wrong answer here.
You’re playing in a RC. You’re 4-2. Need 6-3 or better to Day 2. In your match you’re in time. It’s turn 4 of 5 and your facing lethal from Atraxa. However, you can Elspeth and suicide your lifelink creature into Atraxa to force a draw by going to 9. You’re not winning this game but you can draw it because of time.
This puts you both at 4-2-1 meaning you both will be out of contention for Day 2 if either of you lose again. However, if you lose here, your next loss still knocks you out of Day 2 but it gives your opponent one less loss and better chance of Day 2ing. You also don’t go into the draw bracket.
You both played at a reasonable pace, your opponent was nice, no grudges or anything.
What do you do?
@AliEldrazi As a rule of thumb, if it’s obvious that I would have lost in a game that goes to time I concede regardless. For the most part my opponents have done the same. I understand playing for a draw is part of the game in paper, but if it’s a draw due to technicality I think it’s scum.
@itsFayebae I just got to Vegas to make it a flagship hub for our business. I have a streaming/breaking organization that sells Pokémon and MTG live. If you are interested and need work reach out. Hope all is well.
followup tweet; currently live in Las Vegas, and need to find a place to stay by April 12th so if anyone knows of anything itd help a lot. I just need time to get back on my feet, but that requires being able to use my computer/internet and my monthly income barely covers food rn
@SonRebell@dripshop_live We are looking to have fun, give back to the community we have been apart of for 25+ years and grow our community. Once again we apologize for any confusion and if you felt tricked by us. We were just offering free packs to anyone in the lobby from us @TheTCGBreakers
@SonRebell@dripshop_live We were just trying to have fun and grow our community by giving away MH1&MH2 packs as well as some DMR Collector packs. As we said in the lobby no purchase was necessary and we were giving them away on our stream every 5 minutes. We are not looking for downloads.
Super weird feeling being in a hotel right next to the #MTG30 venue and not being able to get into the hall to bird the matches or say hi to people.
Hopefully this model of "have to buy a ticket early to get inside" wont continue being the standard.
@ViolentPandaRL Remember that time everyone thought is was crazy to let Paaschy and everyone go but you? I do! So proud of all you have accomplished dude. I hope you are doing well Jos and that the future has amazing things for you!
I am loving the direction MTG is finally going in. This is the new world we live in. This is a LUXURY HOBBY. For so long it was priced out as a game. Let’s just get real on what it really is and enjoy it for what it is. Sports cards for nerds. If you want to compete play FAB.
