@Mavriarch What most people miss is that souls already has easy modes. It's not a difficulty slider, it's more about the options you have, like magic and summoning others to help you fight. The world doesn't become easier, but the tools you have make it easier.

It's sad this keeps happening. Accessibility in games is not a thing to argue about, it's a thing to do. People complain that easy mode would "ruin the Souls spirit" while forgetting that what is easy to some is still hard for someone else!!

Enemies less resistant would help makes fights shorter, helping those with physical or mental fatigue. These are solutions off the top of my head and especially the last two are just a matter of changing enemy attributes, which doesn't require much development time

This way the game would still be challenging but possible to progress and able to play for longer periods of time. More related to an easy mode, enemies dealing less damage would make missed dodges less punishing, helping the previous reaction time mentioned, while making (...)

Depends on the disability! Imagine someone with wrist problems. They may have issues with button mashing and reaction times. You could give them the option to make enemies slower, give them more time to react, and the option to hold a button for combos instead of repeated clicks.

@Mavriarch What changes would make the game easier for disabled people?

Yes, I got heated here but I needed to let it out. I'm not disabled but I simpatize with those who are and need these features to do and enjoy an activity I take for granted. I just want everyone to be able to enjoy the same thing I do, even if in their own way!

Easy mode won't ruin elden ring or any other game, it just allows disabled people to enjoy the game and have fun! Anyone who thinks that's a bad thing, is just being a gatekeeping asshole!! It's like arguing wheelchair ramps shouldn't exist because they ruin stairs!

As someone who is still new to the industry and still learning, this is a bad take. My first game project fell apart because our small scope wasn't small enough for two inexperienced students. I learned the hard way to make it even smaller. Don't be dumb like me, make it tiny
