Mavryk's founder, Alex Davis (@mv1_Davis), on why most RWA platforms miss the mark:
"Tokenization without interoperability with liquid secondary markets, exchanges, or lending systems is just digitization with extra steps."
This highlights a fundamental infrastructure gap in the RWA industry.
Most platforms digitize assets and call it tokenization. They upload documentation to a blockchain and declare success. But without liquid secondary markets, DeFi integration, and interoperability, it's a database with blockchain aesthetics.
Alex's perspective comes from experience. As Chief Innovation Officer for Tezos Middle East, he was there when the Aspen Resort Hotel was tokenized six years ago. He watched this industry evolve from the beginning.
His observation: "It's never been a tech problem. The bigger problem is integrations into DeFi and the lack of maturity in liquid secondary markets."
No clear infrastructure leader has emerged. Securitize leads in U.S. treasuries, but as Alex noted: "The world is at our disposal and we've barely cracked the surface."
Mavryk was built to address this gap.
