i gave our agents control of our office via MCP (lights, spotify, vestaboard) yesterday our AE's agent started congratulating him on deals using the vesta board. unprompted "be proud. the team should know". its loud but too cool to turn off

Of course that’s your observation. You’re a first time founder who just moved to the mission. You just finished reading some twitter vague post about markdown being code, Garry Tan prob’ly, and so naturally that’s what you believe until next month when you discover pmarca and get convinced that self reflection is only for poor people. That’ll last until you realize he's one shotted, then you’ll be in here regurgitating Paul Graham saying taste trumps technical ability and the capital-forming effects of the gender ratio in SF Well as a matter of fact, I won’t because PG drastically underestimates the impact of – – PG drastically underestimates the impact of parasocial dynamics predicated upon proximity to e-girls, especially inherited proximity through hacker houses in Hayes Valley..." You got that from the G-Stack right, README.md, right. Yea I read that too.

My observation of SF is that the city is more consensus-driven than contrarian. The talent density is amazing, but everyone’s regurgitating the same thing. People think they’re contrarian because they’re working on things the mainstream doesn’t understand yet. Sure. X amplifies this - the SF tech timeline is a consensus-manufacturing engine. where people are rewarded for legibility within existing frame, not for introducing genuinely foreign ones. An example I like: @benjamin_bolte of OpenAI argued that SF VCs are suddenly interested in robotics not because they have a thesis about embodied intelligence, but because they need to pivot from B2B SaaS. The contrarianism is pattern-matching away from a category that stopped working.

1. gusto is one of the YC companies I look up to most. seeing gumloop being used company-wide makes me irrationally proud 2. if I can become half as eloquent as mike is in this video, i'll consider that a win

Crazy to think that 4 years ago Max and I were messing around building VR games together. We even applied to YC together. Today Gumloop announced a $50M Series B. Max is one of the most creative and resilient people I know. Watching him beat the odds and build the company he dreamed of with Rahul has been a privilege.
