If you’ve ever wondered why Iranians have been suffering for nearly half a century, it’s not just because of recent events. For 47 years, the Iranian people have been trapped under a corrupt regime. It’s not only about the brutal crackdowns you see on the news today, where over 50,000 people have been slaughtered in the streets, but about a decades-long system of oppression. For nearly five decades, the economy has collapsed, the currency has lost its value, and ordinary people can barely survive. For those of us who grew up there, like me, being a teenager meant living in fear, arrested simply for attending a birthday party and constantly harassed by the morality police. The truth is, the people of Iran can’t even enjoy simple moments, music, dancing, relationships, without fear. Every day, they live without safety, without basic dignity, under a government that crushes every dream.

Praying with all my heart for every innocent life touched by this.  For the families enduring fear and uncertainty, I pray for protection, resilience, and unwavering courage. May this be a turning point toward what is just and righteous. May it conclude safely, and may a true and lasting peace take root without delay

I'm grateful to The New York Times for covering my Madison Square Garden show and sharing this story. A historic night in my career happened to coincide with one of the most significant uprisings in Iran's history, as my people fight for their freedom. That timing turned one night of comedy into something far greater. It became an opportunity to celebrate the unity of fans from every corner of the world and to use my platform to bring awareness to the massacre in Iran. The overwhelming response and support from my fans has been the most heartwarming part of this entire journey. DON’T STOP TALKING ABOUT IRAN, because every voice raised in truth shines light where shadows try to silence hope: the brave hearts in the streets are calling for freedom, humanity, dignity, and justice, and together we carry their courage forward.

Compassion is the only language that crosses borders. Innocent people are being killed, and their families deserve more than our indifference.

What’s happening in Iran is heartbreaking, and it’s easy for the world to move on when the pain doesn’t feel close. But for millions of people, this isn’t news, it’s their daily reality. Families are hurting, voices are being cut off, and people are risking everything just to be heard. Awareness matters. Listening matters. Showing up for one another matters.

To the courageous people of Iran, your bravery inspires the world. We see you, we hear you, and we stand with you. ❤️🕊️💚
