Katalyst Space has slowed the spin of their LINK spacecraft and will continue to attempt to restabilize it in the coming days. There are still potential paths forward for the robotic spacecraft to boost our Swift observatory, and LINK is now expected to approach Swift around the end of August. More: go.nasa.gov/3RsWodP

Cape Canaveral in July 1951! This map shows the Cape in its infancy, with only LCs 1-4, a beachside headquarters, the "Navaho Runway," and even a "Bivouac Area" for personnel. Hard to imagine those Florida summers! @ccspacemuseum

In a review of our cybersecurity evaluations, we found three incidents in which a Claude model reached the internet from within or while interacting with a third-party evaluation environment, and then gained unauthorized access to the real systems of three different organizations. Our post describes what happened, how it happened, and what we’re changing. We encourage other AI developers to perform similar reviews. We conducted this review together with @Irregular, one of our evaluation partners, and thank them for the joint investigation and their collaboration on this post. Okay so, bit of confusion over what's happening yesterday so here's where we're at: Two vessels are outbound to S40 to assist in recovery operations. NORMAND RANGER and SKIMMER TIDE. Both are similar in size to Australis and Ranger especially seems fit for towing. Ranger will arrive at the site in the next day and a half while Skimmer will arrive in two. GO Australis is still closely following the drifting Starship, 134 hours and counting since landing.
