Looking forward to next year for Maryland WBB. IF nobody leaves they would have these guards: Smikle, McDaniel, Okananwa, Bartelme, Mack, Walker, Welson, Jackson, McKennie That is a ton of talent, but also you have to think there will be at least one departure in the portal.

@BrendaFreseSuit True, but Bri got hurt in January. I’m confident she could have came back late in the year, but given the timing they made the decision to wait until she can play a full year.

McLean went down swinging, playing some of the best basketball of her career in the back half of this season. “I’ve learned a plethora of things behind her in two years,” McLean said. “I feel like I’ve had a four year experience and I’m very grateful for my coaches."

Courtney Banghart making it clear UNC’s game plan was to space Maryland out and attack matchups one-on-one as opposed to shooting from deep. Not a lot of teams did that to Maryland this year, but it worked well enough for UNC particularly in the first half.
