Breakdown of people aged 65+ by country of birth in Wales at the 2021 census. In five counties, the majority of the 65+ population was born outside of Wales, with the greatest percentages being 63% in Conwy, 57.3% in Denbighshire, 54% in Flintshire and Powys and 52% in Ceredigion. Powys and Flintshire's figures aren't too dissimilar from the general population due to border proximity, but along the northern and western coasts, there a massive numbers of retirees from outside Wales.
