@ILiveries @_SIMMSA @iRacing @iRacingSupport Facepalming for days. Wish they'd have consulted the people who actually use these tools day in and day out...

@iRacing The 3D Viewer is pretty cool. It is super basic though. Needs a "dark mode", and changeable lighting conditions (as paints can often look VERY different depending on time of day), and a truly free camera to be able to get up close for fine tuning.

@tradingpaints Please re-enable "Painting mode" on your desktop app? That function was incredibly useful for saving time!

The 3D Car Viewer is an iRacing update. We did not create it.

@lefty_designs @iRacing It's a gimmick at best. Angles are incredibly limited, no variable lighting, camera is out of focus at certain points, no dark mode. And @tradingpaints has removed their "painting mode" from their desktop app. Not a good update for those of us who would actually use these tools.

This new car viewer is a godsend @iRacing.

@tradingpaints Please can we have "Painting Mode" back? The simple funtion of saving the TGA file and having it reflect immediately in game was insanely useful. @iRacing 's new 3D Viewer is nowhere near sufficient enough to replace this functionality.

@ILiveries @iRacing I'd try loading into the sim, exiting (allowing iRacing to update the rendererDX11.ini) and retry the 3D Viewer. Only thing I can think of
