Said this in my I Saw the TV Glow video, but when I realized I was trans, I didn’t feel relief…I felt like my life was over. I didn’t WANT to be different but I had no choice. I tried to imagine a long life where I repressed…and was filled with so much dread I nearly threw up.

@polypocketknife Same person but I'm not pretending to be someone else anymore although my thoughts will probably change the farther I get in to my transition.

transsexuals i’m curious: do you conceive of your pretransition self as you, as properly the same person just at a different point in life? or as someone you used to be, or pretended to be, a past life sharing a body? is that person still alive to you? were you alive then at all?
