On the issue of Dumsor, on 27th March, 2026 the ECG released a statement to inform Ghanaians of the commencement of transformer replacement and upgrade e exercise in parts of Accra and so, there will be outages.
MPs are even designing flyers for the presentation but some people think the outages are deliberate.
Also, due to the fire outbreak at one of the substations yesterday, 100W was cut off from the national grid.
At no point should the issue of the current outages be politicized and make it a by force Dumsor thing.
Below is the evidence:

@SIKAOFFICIAL1 I'm very sure @Gen_Buhari_ and @5oddsHene will soon descend on them. How could they be in the Ashanti region and praise Mahama?
English

The Association of Market Queen Mothers in the Ashanti region has praised President John Mahama and his administration for their efforts in the region since he was given the opportunity to serve as president again.
They have urged their fellow traders to remain patient and have confidence in the president's commitment to fulfill his promise of completing phase two of the Kejetia market.

The NDC government has started completing the agenda 111 hospitals to serve the people of Ghana and also to post the Nurses and Doctors, they have uncapped the NHIS, introduced Mahama cares for diseases that are not under the NHIS scheme like Kidney disease and more, they also said we won’t wait for you to fall sick first so we are introducing Free Primary Healthcare and adding small tricycles that will be going road to check your vitals completely free of charge and give emergency health services to it’s citizens. Container clinics will also be made available in specific locations where u can walk in to check your health status.
Then Hon Agbodza too is saying while the Hospitals are being built let’s build roads across the nation to connect communities, boost local trade and tourism and make transportation between places better, before that we will pay all the contractors the previous administration didn’t pay so they can work very well. Everybody will be okay. The big push
Wey Energy Minister too say as all this is going on ill keep the lights running. The places with old transformers will be upgraded. I’ll add more energy plants to the national grid but i will also clear the energy debt. In the mean time here is 1.47 billion to clear parts of the debt.
And Ato Forson say oh then if all this is going on then let me stabilise the dollar so that those who import and export can know what they are about. The dollar dier between 10-12 cedis naa maybe once a while dier ego tii fa so but normally tha be where ego Dey. While doing this I’ll be paying the loans we owe and do my best to exit the IMF programs. I’ll also reduce inflation drastically. And remove unnecessary taxes. So that the contractors who are working on the big push, those building the hospitals, the energy companies working to improve our power grid can all work very smoothly.
Wey Hon Okudzeto too say make you guys no forget me o. The passport dier obi necessary for every Ghanaian to have plus you for no stress to get am. Within 2 weeks you should have your passport if you apply. No middleman, even if you want make we deliver am seff we go do am. Some countries Dey seff we for no struggle to get visa so visa free agreements dier we go do plenty. Some countries no get Ghana embassies we will build them, ghana had several properties abroad that have been stolen illegally recover them. And bring back our glory ont he international stage. I’ll also work to bring the world to Ghana so they come and invest in our economy, by th time they come our roads will be good, constant power and good health care and more
Wey KalyJay too say while all this is going on I’ll be helping fight anyone who will make the Government unpopular, letting the good people of Ghana know what the NDC government is doing, if they are not doing anything right too I’ll tell them and once a while I’ll tweet Aban Papa Aba to give the opposition BP.

@F_Edzeamey @IngEli___ They think everything is about Accra and Kumasi.
English

You leave your villages, move to the city, and soon forget how people struggle to access primary healthcare.
The government has rolled out a free primary healthcare programme and, in addition to enhancing the mobility of healthcare workers, has provided motorcycles.
You sit on social media and say unnecessary things.
Go back to your village and see how impactful the free primary healthcare programme is going to be.

@Asante_nation So where did Asantehene said he should keep working and others keep talking?

THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRESENTED TO THE MANHYIA PALACE ON FRIDAY!
On Friday, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace to officially inform the King of the government’s plan to construct an expressway from Accra to Kumasi, which will reduce travel time by about 50 kilometres. He told the Asantehene that it will begin next week (which is this week).
The entire project is 198.7 km, of which 80 km falls within the Ashanti Region.
He used the opportunity to explain vividly to the understanding of the Asantehene the motivation behind the reduction of the Suame Interchange project from a four-tier interchange to a three-tier, he explained that an intended bypass construction around Kumasi would make the four-tier disproportionate.
According to the Minister, currently, everyone coming to Kumasi or going beyond Kumasi needs to drive through Suame Interchange, that is the Suame Roundabout. That was why the design was made in four tiers. Currently one of the major projects the current government wants to do is a bypass or a loop around Kumasi. Every major city in the world has a ring road or what is called an orbiter and that is what they want to do around Kumasi which is over 100km.
The idea is to give travellers who don't have anything to do at the centre of Kumasi, you can hit the orbiter and go round it and enter your destination. As a result, a bypass is going to be constructed from Ejisu through Juaben to Tano Dumase through Kwabre and the Offinso stretch. He said, the contractor is working and it's about 47km. The expectation is that when completed, those going beyond Kumasi will not need to come and crowd at the Suame Interchange.
The Minister went on to say that, not a penny will be taken from the Suame Interchange project, all savings made on the reduction will be invested into the Suame-Tafo-Mampong road which is not yet under contract. "Its a very critical road. Whatever we have been allocated for that project will be spent here. We are spending another three billion on the orbiter. Our engineers are working on the design of the bypass." he said.
Mr Agbodza announced to the King that the government had paid $25 million to clear debt owed to the contractor. This, he said, paves the way for him to return on site to continue the Suame project which has been incorporated into the flagship Big Push project.
In his submission, the Minister for Roads, Governs Kwame Agbodza, said the Accra-Kumasi Expressway is a flagship project under the government's Big Bush Infrastructure Programme and aims to improve connectivity between Accra and Kumasi and reduce travel time along the corridor.
He noted that the idea of an expressway is to provide an alternative drive route for commuters in the form of a freeway and reduce the travel period to two hours. He assured Otumfuo that the proposed project would not affect the ongoing dualisation project. According to him, budgetary allocation has been planned to keep the work in progress.
The Roads Minister added that the government intends to compensate farmers who will be affected by the proposed projects.
Asantehene’s Response
Otumfuo welcomed the mission as positive news, particularly about plans to complete the existing dual Accra-Kumasi road as well as the proposed
expressway. "All these projects are geared towards national development," Otumfuo said.
However, His Majesty demanded that the schedule for completion of the proposed project be strictly followed for timely completion.
"Expedite works to complete it on time. If the clearance is completed on time, the main work could start in June for completion on time. You intended to complete it in 2027 but I extend it to 2028 for you. I want it completed and commissioned so that I will drive through it."
Otumfuo blessed the Road Minister, whose mother is from Ejisu and assured him of his support. End!

@UmarFaruk41 @kurowura2 And why is that people from North and Volta migrating to Ashanti and Accra for greener pastures if they are rich in their region?
English

@kurowura2 The largest absolute numbers of poor people are in Ashanti and Eastern regions (each with over 1 million multidimensionally poor residents), due to their larger populations even though their poverty rates are closer to the national average.
English

@Maxibillion02 It is for Ghana not the NDC. What else do you want to know please
English

Built with Tax payers money!! This is not for NPP. This is for Ghana. Ghanaians paid for that bridge not the NPP party.
Posts like this is the reason why important issues in this country are politicized. Let’s be serious okay.
