Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people’s lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest. But no gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.

@AarKuNine My family has only ever eaten chocolate eggs for Easter Sunday but we don't have any traditions with painting eggs etc. I feel like that's more a fun activity for kids and not religion tied? But as you say traditions vary with families

@AarKuNine Most vegetarians I know eat dairy but not eggs. Tbh for Lent giving up meat isn't a requisite, it's just what my family has always done. Fridays in Lent we don't ever eat meat even if we haven't given it up. You are also allowed to take on things, like cooking for the poor etc

@AarKuNine For added context all my vegetarian Indian friends were either Hindu or Hare Krishna devotees. My Indian Christian friends still ate eggs when fasting

@AarKuNine It was only my Indian friends who were vegetarian that didn't eat eggs but did eat dairy. So when I abstained from meaty during Lent I would still eat eggs and they found it weird.

There is no biblical evidence that Jesus even knew how to parallel park. Letting him take the wheel seems a bit irresponsible.
