Many people look at this and think it’s a perfect strategy: open a massive position, set the liquidation price close to zero, and simply wait for Bitcoin to appreciate over time.
It sounds smart, but in terms of capital efficiency, it’s actually a poor strategy.
Locking up hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars just to earn a modest return over several years comes with an enormous opportunity cost.
Capital shouldn’t just be preserved; it should be put to work.
A great strategy isn’t one that wins 99.99% of the time. It’s one that strikes the right balance between risk, return, and capital efficiency.
Being overly conservative can be just as costly as taking excessive risk. In this market, the goal isn’t to eliminate all risk it’s to earn returns that justify the risk you take.
