How cool is that! While there are many undescribed moths in the neotropics, it feels pretty special to rediscover a species not since it was described 100y ago :-)) This rediscovery was made while deploying AMI systems on the BCI tropical research station of the @smithsonian

Our Observation of the Day is this Oenoptera albimacula #moth, which may be the first time it's been documented since it was a described about a century ago! Seen in #Panama by mlarrivee. More details at: inaturalist.org/observations/1…

@FredericMignard C’est une araignée sauteuse (Salticidae). Remarquez qu’elle a 6 yeux au lieu de 8 car 4 d’entre-eux sont fusionnés en 2 gros yeux pour une meilleure vision. À savoir si elle est indigène à la région parisienne, partagez l’observation sur l’appli @inaturalist et l’IA en fera l’ID
