They blew it when they rejected the $APO $60 and $64 bids. $APO walked or changed their mind because of management's indecision or perhaps $APO saw the storm clouds over their private equity business $MFIC. If they are able to sell it for $3B, they'll have some dry powder $PZZA.

Management has not been able to turn around the US business against this weak macro and consumer backdrop. Making a deal is one way they can actually create shareholder value, which is their fiduciary obligation. They have only destroyed shareholder value up to this point $PZZA.

Curious also that $PZZA climbed almost $4 per share after a bad earnings report, then the news of the largest franchisee joining the Irth bid at $47 per share came out. Also new funds opened 5%+ positions last quarter when the Irth bid was first reported. A deal may be close.

Could this be $pzza last dividend payment as a public company? You've got Irth, $BAM and the largest franchisee all pushing for a take private offer of $47 per share. Management and the board cannot ignore. Perhaps they negotiate to $50 per share to get it done finally.

With the $300M shelf filed, I'm thinking $PALI may announce some positive news like a partnership, etc. Their UC and CD asset is way too valuable for some BP not wanting to get in at this stage.

@merkzy_ As far as I can tell, Lumilens is a VC backed start-up with no actual products. They are giving $POET funding and buying their products to repackage.
