260503 wonpil’s final unpiltered concert ment 😭🤍 #원필 really..whenever we prepare for a DAY6 concert, and even this time while getting ready for my solo concert after a long while, preparing for a concert is something that is very precious to us as artists. But this time, while preparing, I was honestly just really happy and had so much fun. I kept imagining how My Day would react, and I think I was in the dance practice room looking at the mirror, doing all this stuff like that. Hahaha… why am I laughing while saying this? Anyway… while preparing, the concert from 4 years ago kind of stayed with me as a painful memory, so this time I just really wanted to show My Day something that was simply happy and enjoyable. I tried my best to prepare it that way, and I’m just so relieved and thankful that it seems like you liked it. It feels like all the sweat I shed in the practice room has been rewarded. Thank you. And maybe because this is my second solo concert, I think I had an even stronger desire to do better. Not just the concert, but also while working on the album. I really wanted to show you new sides of myself. It’s not just because it’s a solo album, but even in general, while making music, I kept thinking, ‘Am I getting stuck in a pattern?’ So I guess I wanted to keep challenging myself… or trying something new.. Anyway, I wanted to let you hear new kinds of music, and through this Unpiltered album, I think I was able to show at least a bit of a new side of my music and myself. Even during the preparation process, I was really happy. Of course, there were difficult times too, times when things just wouldn’t come out or when I couldn’t write properly but that’s something unavoidable. It’s comes with being a creator. So I accepted that humbly and kept working hard. While preparing Unpiltered, I received so much help from so many people. First of all, My Day. You were such a huge source of strength for me, really. And there are so many people I want to thank… Everyone at StudioJ worked so hard on this album, and the concert production team too, they’re already so busy, but they worked incredibly hard to prepare this show. And I’m also very grateful to the session musicians. I kept mentioning the dance, but we also worked on rearrangements little by little because I wanted to give you a great sound, and they did such an amazing job. Please give a round of applause to the session team. And the person who basically brought my stiff body back to life. Honestly, my body felt like a kid locked inside a dusty box. The one who made me move again, our company’s performance team member, Im Semin. He’s the same age as me, and he was also my dance teacher 4 years ago. We reunited this time, and he helped make my body move again. And also the six dancers who practiced with me despite being so busy, please give them a round of applause too. And there are some very precious people I want to thank - our DAY6 members, Sungjin and Dowoon~! Yes, nice, they’ve got masks on, giving thumbs up, Dowoon blowing kisses, he needs to put on lip balm~ we’re basically comrades, you know. We feel like family and comrades, but ok if we get too serious here, it feels a bit too much. They’re all busy, but they came to support me, so thank you. Honestly, I wouldn’t exist without them. So moving forward, I’ll keep working hard with Sungjin hyung, Dowoon, and Bra hyung to bring you good music. And now… it’s really the end. Unpiltered… it’s time to let it go now. But it’s a bit of a pity to just let this moment pass, right? I didn’t really realize it before, but 2–3 years ago, it really hit me. That at the end of the day, what remains are photos. So let’s capture this once in a photo. These will all be memories.
