There was no watchman on duty at the school premises at the time. 4. No blood stains were documented on the suspect’s shirt or hands upon arrest. 5. There is no visitor’s log showing that Okello signed in upon arrival. Evidence currently on record, 1. Verbal accusations from witnesses. 2. A knife recovered from the crime scene. 3. The suspect was arrested within the school compound. 4. Mobile money records confirm Okello visited as a parent and paid Shs195,000 in admission fees to the school accountant. 5. A postmortem report indicates the victim died from internal bleeding caused by stab wounds. Given that murder is a capital offence requiring proof beyond reasonable doubt, will the High Court be compelled to release Okello if the prosecution fails to produce stronger, direct evidence? If the complainants cannot provide the five key missing elements, could the suspect be granted bail after six months on remand, since the case may rely heavily on circumstantial evidence rather than conclusive proof?
