Years ago, I was talking to a state coworker who was of course, a Democrat. We were debating taxes and I suggested that people should be able to determine where their taxes go. For example, if Democrats want their tax dollars to pay for welfare, they can. He got mad at me and said that I was just trying to make sure welfare didn’t get funded. Now, I can definitely be sideways but on this, I was serious. Why not let Americans determine where our taxes go? Then he said, ‘Republicans wouldn’t fund entitlements… ‘ and I said, ‘But Democrats would.’ Then he said something that has stayed with me. He admitted without Republicans, Democrats couldn’t fund entitlements because so many Democrat voters are tax exempt. It was my turn to be pissed off, lol.

I think people are having visceral reaction to new schedule because the government just conceded that your baby did not need that Hepatitis B vaccine at birth. Now laymen are trying to grapple with what that means for them, the choices they made and where to put their trust.
