All whistleblower legislation must include anti-retaliation provisions: too many whistleblowers see reprisals & blacklisting after they speak out w/ the truth. But that's not all we can do. Amplifying the voices of whistleblowers means advocating for them, & against fraudsters.

Very impressed with @LADOTofficial response tonight: arrived within half an hour, double-checked everything, had a clear process, polite and to the point. Hopefully continued enforcement in this area given some of the brazen behavior happening.

There is a car, likely an @LAFitness customer, blocking my mother's driveway. Not the first time. I've called @LADOTofficial for a tow, now waiting. Residential parking requires SIX blocks though, and only a few are dealing with this. What else can residents do @BobBlumenfield?

Goes to show that enacting similar #whistleblower protections is common-sense, evidence-based, best-practices. Our laws must protect whistleblower rights and ensure that whistleblowers can come forward to reveal fraud, waste & abuse. The roadmap to do so already exists.
