To act like Black people don’t understand Tourette’s is ableist, to not apologize to the two Black men who were the only people on stage when it was heard is racist.
To not understand that your intent does not negate your impact just shows none of you understand DEI.

rlly rlly disappointed at some if the disability advocates saying tourettes cant make u say terrible things. you are just further harming black disabled ppl by lying thru ur teeth.

So my takeaways are,
1. If we have a disability we don’t have to apologize when we harm people.
2. You can’t be racist if you have a disability.
3. As a Black person I should have an unlimited capacity of empathy, grace and understanding while receiving none.
4. Impact of our actions don’t matter as long as that wasn’t our intention.
Did I miss anything?

People in Minneapolis are actively protesting ICE and the overpolicing of their communities, & federal agents just shot & killed someone today. Again. On camera. In broad daylight. It’s sickening.
This state violence will continue to run rampant and claim lives as long as this administration continues to inflict fear by targeting and terrorizing American citizens. We’re living through cruel, cruel times.
