I wanna say something about Philip Rivers. He hasn’t played football in over 5 years, he steps up in a role we have never seen. Coming into this job and immediately playing against the best defense in the NFL. The next week having to play against the other hottest defense and offense in the NFL, in the 49ers. He managed to be the best player on the field tonight for the Colts, as a 44 year old that just took the job. This story will always be remembered by me as a die-hard NFL fan, he played his heart out.

Just hired my first Gen Z employee. He showed up this morning and immediately complained about how hard construction is. He quit on the spot. I still billed the client for his time. This is how we “provide jobs” to the younger generation and bill for it.

@BakeEurope @OldHollowTree We lived in an 6 unit building. Christmas was small. The babies didn’t care. Then you build something together and the path is long. Instantaneous gratification will sink these kids. Start a family when young cause it’s a young person’s game.

To those complaining about not owning a home: you don't need a home to start a family. Life doesn't need to be perfect and set up to have children. My husband & I had our 3 children in a rented home that we lived in for 9 years. We now finally own our own home, but it didn't start that way. Don't wait to start a family just because you don't have the lifestyle you grew up seeing in the movies.

I know a lot of you young guys think you’ll never have a family or a home. It is worth trying as hard as you can to get there.

On a related note: I saw a documentary called "American Hollow" about a decade ago, and this scene has always stuck with me. A man on "disability" has to go 3 days without Prozac and for the first time, begins to question the life he lives.
