The Stonewall National Monument commemorates the courageous and ongoing journey of LGBTQ people towards greater inclusion & equality in our society.  That journey continues today - New Haven will always support & defend our LGBTQ residents as a welcoming city for all.

In @cityofnewhaven, we know our city and country are at its best when all our residents’ rights are fully protected and all our residents are fully included and celebrated.

While the building has fallen into a state of disrepair over the years, that’s now going to change as we restore and return the armory into a vibrant center for the community and city once again! 5/5

Built in 1930, the armory has been a military facility; hosted performances by musical legends such as Stevie Wonder & Frank Sinatra; served as a emergency response center & shelter; hosted countless arts, cultural & community events; and more recently as a community garden. 4/
