The What Works Cities team recently visited @CityofGreenBay to learn how City Hall uses data to make impactful neighborhood improvements, secure funding for community spaces and improve local infrastructure. Thank you to @MayorGenrich and the team for a wonderful site visit!

@MayorGenrich @coreybehnke You know what's funny? The NUMBER ONE comment, like literally hundreds of them, after that pick was made was some variation of "Ohhh what was Behnke's reaction???" and I STILL haven't talked to him about it lol

You know how I know Gutey had a great draft? Because the one repeated complaint I'm seeing is regarding the trade up for a kicker. Oh no. They traded two seventh-round picks. I am begging folks to go outside and feel the wind on your face.

@Schneider_CM GB Schools got a waiver from DPI to start the year early so they could cancel school W-F of Draft week.

The draft was in Green Bay last year and, miraculously, children managed to make it to school. And I can assure you the Packers are a bigger part of Green Bay life than the Steelers are to Pittsburgh life.
David Zweig@davidzweig

Pittsburgh Public Schools will be closed for three days, and compel "asynchronous" remote learning, because of the NFL Draft. Since the city will have a lot of visitors this will "ensure students can continue learning safely and effectively." Unreal. publicsource.org/pittsburgh-pub…

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.): “The Senate should immediately return to session and vote on my War Powers Resolution to block the use of U.S. forces in hostilities against Iran. Every single Senator needs to go on the record about this dangerous, unnecessary, and idiotic action.”

Grateful to @BrownWIExec Streckenbach, Chairman Buckley, and C. Reiss for finalizing this lease agreement. It's incredibly welcome news and makes possible the transformation of the city's waterfront for the benefit of our entire community for generations to come.

“It is a double death,” said one of Alex Pretti's middle school teachers. “They assassinate someone, and then they assassinate their character, and it’s utterly disgusting. I cannot believe that this is what our government has become.” wpr.org/news/green-bay…

Wisconsin is just one of two states in the nation that doesn't have expanded Medicaid coverage for new moms. We have to change that. We should extend postpartum coverage from just a lousy 60 days to a full 12 months. It’s what best for our kids—and moms and families, too.

No! We should expect our state leaders to give local gov't a fair share of tax revenue generated across Wisconsin. We should also expect the state to give municipalities the ability to reduce debt & cut property taxes by creating a local option sales tax to fund critical services
Isaac Rowlett@IsaacRowlett

Wisconsin residents should expect significant public service reductions, government consolidation, and property tax increases in the years and decades ahead

There’s a Wisconsin law that prohibits this from happening because it’s obviously anti-democratic.

It's worse than that. The ACLU spends significant energy and money arguing for Meta and Tiktok's right to exploit children, argues that money is speech, and that corporations should have limitless spending power in elections.
Basel Musharbash@musharbash_b

It is truly insane that the ACLU has $829 million in the bank — almost a BILLION dollars — and will not lift a finger to fight oligarchy and corporate power.
