@Mayorofeyaen I told him sometime ago that those in the riverine areas alignes more with Delta than Edo, even though they occupy Edo land. They will do everything in Delta's interest. If you are privileged to talk with them, they will tell you that their forefathers came from places in Delta.

@Mayorofeyaen State is a geographical location. We knw they’re not Edo people, but they’re from Edo state until stated otherwise by their state of origin. Every election cycle when politicians go there to ask for votes they don’t tell dem they’re not from Edo state.

That massive land between Edo and the sea didn’t have inhabitants many years ago. Again you need to stop this, we have no indigenous ijaw people in Edo south. We won’t allow anyone jeopardize our territorial integrity in the name of liberalism.

Man is delivering on areas the former administration failed in. Only part I wish he'll improve on is to tackle insecurity, bring orderliness to RING road cos he's failing in those parts. There’s not very much the authorities can do when it comes to cultism, a matter of individual choices, other than the bold step the governor is already taking. This is the first killing recorded in almost 2 years. So he can do more, but the people’s accountability shouldn’t be ignored also. Monitor your younger ones, engage them in meaningful activities so they can shun vices and embrace virtues. Govt is easy to blame but on this, the people has a major stake. My 2 cent. ✌️

We have to portray our home in good light but doing that in expense of denying reality is beyond me. It took governor Obaseki’s intervention in one of the past new year eve to avert a catastrophe. I support the current government approach to eradicating cultism.

I remember in 2020, my supervisor jokingly asked during an interview, “Oga hope you’re not a cultist oo, this place is peaceful.” Everybody laughed. What he said came from experience. The insecurity and cultism problem was real, even though things are improving now. We can’t focus on the wrong thing, we should keep holding the authorities accountable to change the narrative for good.
