Higher tier fish give more XP, you can switch to the diamond line and make sure you have index luck on for more XP since you'll wanna try to get perfect catches on yellows, reds, and pinks now You get about a level every 4-5 minutes with it as opposed to every 4.5 minutes with Cerberus (it has highs and lows due to being luck based)
