Allyson Felix, who is the most decorated female track and field athlete in Olympic history, has announced she is coming out of retirement ahead of LA 2028. The 40-year-old told @TIME that the decision is based on a “once-in-a-lifetime homecoming”, with the next Games taking place in Los Angeles. It's been called "Project Six", given this would be Felix's sixth Olympics after Athens, Beijing, London, Rio and Tokyo. She has medalled at every single Games, and is anticipating on returning to competition in 2027.

Here are coach Claudio Berrardelli's comments on drug testing after Sabastian Sawe's 1:59:30 world record. Q: Do you know how many times exactly he was tested or not? Berardelli: I don't know exactly...I know yesterday I was with the AIU and they said he has been tested more. Of course, what happened was the budget we had before Berlin, the AIU decided to spread it throughout the year because they said it doesn't make sense to have him tested every three days, it's too much. Still, Sebastian is in a special anti-doping (protocol).
