The “best strategy” is the one that statistically performs positive, but more importantly, aligns with your psychology. It should make sense to you technically and logically. You should be able to explain it without trading terms. You have to ask yourself certain questions such as: How many trades do I want to be taking a day? What sessions do I want to trade? Do I want high win rate and low rr… or do I want high rr and low win rate? How long do I want to be in trades? (This list can go on for a while) The point is, different strategies suit different traders. Find what makes sense TO YOU.

Anytime I post red days, I see people get so confused on how is someone that’s been trading for 10+ years have red days… And it makes me think of how so many people have the wrong idea of trading. Every single trader, has red days. It’s inevitable. The best of the best have red days. They’re in drawdown. They go in tilt too. They take stupid trades as well. It happens to us all. The difference is how they respond to red days and how they manage their risk during those times. That’s what separates the pros from the amateurs.

Lost -$22k on the day. - Shorted SPY (645 puts) - short at 9:50am A few notes on today. - all eyes are on NVDA earnings today, markets a bit slower. This was in my pre market notes - took a short trade after seeing rejection 15 mins in, looking back there wasn’t anything significant there with volume - didn’t follow my original stop on this (was risking $16k roughly, which was supposed to be max loss) ended up going over - I did lower size today, which I’m overall happy about - market is trying to find a balance (yday and today) and trading these are very difficult, at least for me Cost of doing business
