I'd love to see some major sports media reference to the outstanding record of the South Canterbury rugby team. In Heartland rugby, this team is now unbeaten in more than 20 games! Is that impressive enough for TV News or NZ Herald, RNZ or Newstalk...ha. Nope.

David Moffett must grin every time a reporter contacts him. The ex CE of NZRU knows what's required. Another dig at the sport's governing body. David never fails to deliver 25 years on.

The sad fact is, Ian Foster is correct. It probably was the All Blacks best of the year!

Amidst all the controversies, investigations, reports, formation of an integrity steering committee and tragedies, Cycling NZ must have been doing some things right. Outstanding success at Commonwealth Games.

Our most highly regarded All Black captains also had great players under their leadership. Think of the stars who played under Whineray, Lochore, Shelford, Fitzpatrick and McCaw. I don't believe Sam Cane has that luxury.

Sadly, the All Blacks are likely to continue to get beaten up up front and a with a predictable attack which is now easily defended, it means we'd better get accustomed to losses.

I just Watched 3 rugby tests overnight. Ireland, England & Wales all lost to NZ, Oz & SA. Famed USA columnist Erma Bombeck once said,’Man who watches 3 footy games in a row should be declared legally dead.’ Goodbye cruel world!😷

Such sad rugby news today. My club , the Axemen of the Welllington Football Club: New Zealand’s oldest ‘playing through’ club, which has run out a team every Saturday since 1870, was beaten 106-7 by Northern in the Capital today. Still, we’ll be out again next week….

I feel so bad. I haven't been totally engrossed in the Johnny Depp thingy.

...2/2 and the SkyTV 'Once were Warriors' show has unearthed that Lance Hohaia is now a rugby union coach in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He says he's happily married with some 'rambunctious' kids! Wow! Lance is really merging into the local culture and language!

Happiness is - being present when the latest book on the Beatles (‘Get Back’) was released in New Zealand. (It’s another one to add to my collection!) Contact Hedley’s Books in Masterton- they had stacks of them tonight but they are selling fast!!
