@RMRoss_ Music is a language and unfortunately for living composers, they didn’t create it. They can potentially shape it moving forward but if one wants to understand how the language works, you will have to peruse Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky and Bird.

@daveshiflett1 @RMRoss_ There’s an online course called scoreclub I’d recommend. He’s highly skilled in harmony, counterpoint and orchestration. All given not as final answer but instead, this is what was done. Handy toolbox to check out.
