Does evapotranspiration increase or decrease during droughts? The answer is not straightforward! We found that evapotranspiration increases in 44% of drought months. Models underestimate this by a half. Plant and soil structure are the causes. Read here rdcu.be/cYpAV

@CRoumelis In my experience, Illustrator can be very irritating but also has a steep learning curve which means tasks become much easier over time. Stick with it, maybe? Best of luck! 🎨

I’m starting work on some figures and I’m finding it more trouble than it’s worth in illustrator.. anyone have some other software suggestions?

@celestelabedz I really like GitHub (often starting with a generic html template from online). You have total control and it's free unless you want to buy a domain name (~$20/year). I made mine and Newton's sites that way! newton-climate.github.io and ericamccormick.com

I raced the CA International Marathon today. The smoothest marathon I've raced. averaged 6:58 for the first 21 miles. Struggled the last 5 miles and slowed to 7:15. Beat my PR by 10 min. Last week, I was considering deferring because I felt unfit, but so glad I didn't! 😅🥳🍻
