Here We Go! GW17 3 FTs used White, Burn, Woltemade (out) O'Reilly, Keane, Ekitike (in) Haaland (TC) The White punt last week was such a horrible one. With Virgil getting clean sheet and Saka getting a 11 pointer who I would have captained instead of White, it turned out to be a debacle. On top of that White got injured, Burn got injured. So, 2 tranfer outs were pre-decided. As for Ekitike, he is another punt. But looking at Liverpool, we are looking sharp in attack with everything tailored towards Ekitike. It was fun watching him play. Could have scored 4 or 5 goals against Brighton. Next 3: Spurs, Wolves, Leeds were really tempting as well. But even after all those reasons, the temptation to transfer out Woltemade was higher than transferring in Ekitike. The benching was difficult. Wanted to start 2 of: Richards, Rodon, E. Anderson, Xhaka, Keane. Benched Rodon instead of Elliot Anderson in the very end simply because I trust Palace to do well and Anderson to get defcon. Palace rested most of their squad mid-week so should be strong against Leeds. With Xhaka, its a lot of unknown since lot of Sunderland players went for AFCON and Brighton is not easy. They had xG of 1.9 against us as well. Finally, Keane is playing the league leaders. He is the one who I wanted to start though. But ultimately, for some reason, decided against it. Lets see how it goes. As for TC, I wanted to play it plain and simple. If the White thing had worked out last week, may be I would be been more excited and would have triple captained Foden. But with it being so bad, I wanted to get a green arrow. Simple (even though small) green arrow. We are close to our end of season rank goal (top 100k). So no need to take risks.
