I've put a lot of thought into whether or not I should share this. Yes, I said I wouldn't but sometimes people realize their initial thoughts and reactions were wrong. With an obvious smear campaign going on, I think showing his kindness however we can is the right call.

As someone that has covered this sport for a decade now, the upcoming college swimming & diving season feels incredibly flat.
If the last two years of chaos hasn’t lit a fire under us to push the pace when it comes to “out of pool” stuff, I don’t know what will at this point.

It's two weeks until the college dual meet season starts, and only 10/21 teams we have checked so far have their schedules published. We get little bursts of energy in this sport, but ironically, nobody ever wants to make a sustained effort on the administrative side.

If you’re a “grown ass man” getting swim lessons you should be proud of yourself for not letting age determine whether or not you can learn a life-saving skill.
We should bring back bullying for anyone who tries to put an age limit on learning to be water safe.
