What a year 2025 has been for me, After the highs of 2024 & the Olympic Games, I could not see at the start of this year how that could be bettered for me. However it was & is now one of the most special years in my life. #HappyChristmas #Boomshakalaka

25 years has passed in a blink of an eye since you passed Mum and the pain is still the same. Think of you everyday. X

Going home to Cork even briefly gives me the chance to say hello to my mum & dad , chat a while & say a prayer. Life is a beautiful thing with so many wonderful memories, happy & sad but always remember that they loved me without asking for anything from me, they were so special.

Was at the @Bluedemons_BC v @BallincolligB game tonight in the @BballIrl super league game , really impressed with Ballincollig who deserved the W. Demons have a lot of work to do to get up the table. Loved meeting up with former teammates & friends @echolivecork @Corkmensbball

My granddaughter Heidi continues to see her star rise as she came 1st in 2000m u13s Offaly Championship in her own age group. So proud of her. @echolivecork @irishexaminer @RTEsport @offtheball

Watching Court of Gold on @NetflixUK brought me right back to commentating on the Paris Olympics & @TeamUSA Gold medal @StephenCurry30 was the difference in both semifinal & final with the best shooting performance ever in crunch time Loved it then & loved watching this series

Another brilliant performance by my granddaughter Heidi in winning a silver medal in the Offaly 2.5km in 14’s today though she is only 12. She is the girl on the right in the photo. So proud of her and her performance , a brilliant athlete and a wonderful granddaughter. ❤️

I spoke today @ the Network (SUNN) 6th Education Conference at the Clayton Hotel, Galway today on my experience as a patient which focused on that I am me, I was me before my cancer diagnosis, I am me during my cancer treatment and will be me after it. Loved the experience.

Having the pleasure of commentating for @RTEsport on many of her @Olympics successes for @usabasketball, this award is so well deserved. The first time I saw @S10Bird I thought that she was exceptional & every time I watched her she showed that she had it all, congrats. @BballIrl

In 1983 the Soviet Union led by 7ft 4 Vladimir Tkachenko won the @FIBA World Championship beating @usabasketball in the final A year later I started against them with @BballIrl in the pre @Olympics Nice memory @offtheball @RTEsport @ExaminerSport @echolivecork @SecondCaptains
