Ian McCombe - HCDSB Trustee Candidate Oakville 4/7

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm running for HCDSB Trustee in Oakville Wards 4 & 7. I hope that we can create a board which truly represents the community it serves and act as a safe space for all of its staff and students.

I plan to remain involved in the board and continue the advocacy I've pushed for the last several years. I hope to keep in touch with all of the new friends I've made in this process and would be happy to connect with anyone who shares my vision.

A special thank you to all of my campaign team, postcard volunteers, anyone who took a sign, and anyone who sent messages of support: I couldn't have done this without you help.

I would like to thank each and every one of you following me here for the support you have given me over the last several months. While the result isn't what I had hoped for, I would like to extend my congratulations to the newly elected Board of Trustees.

At $200.00 a student for @HCDSB this money would add up to about $7M that could be used for resources and supports for our classrooms. Not to mention the additional money for spec Ed students. It could also be used to pay EA’s a proper wage. Individual payouts make zero sense.
