Condolences to the friends, family, colleagues, and teammates of Troy Murray. He captained our 1982 World Junior team to a gold medal, he won the Selke trophy in 1986 with the Hawks and he hoisted the Stanley Cup with Colorado in 1996. A 15 year NHL veteran, he continued his love of the game in retirement as a successful broadcaster and he was well respected in the hockey community. He will be missed. #RipTroyMurray

OTD 1982 - Canada wins Gold at the World Junior Championships for the first time. With only a tie needed in the final game of the round robin tournament, Canada secures the Gold Medal with a 3-3 tie against Czechoslovakia.
