@sheridan8black Yeah, I think reality could be way beyond a lot of ideas as we’re presented, and tacos quite neatly sums up a correct focus: I concur here!

@MdSynth Hhha reality:D some slow motion view of a single moment suspended upon consciousness that experiences and understands the entire life of the universe through linking sequences of events via organic memory computers?:D ... Or maybe it’s just tacos. Reality is tacos.

Is it possible to feel a sense of nostalgia for nostalgic feelings? Like a memory of a memory, or a reflection of a reflection? A dream within a dream?

@sheridan8black A couple of thoughts on Dark City: The protagonist had nostalgia and guilt that were both created, but not based in reality. He also had his own hidden powers that others feared. The clock ticked as experiments were done: Poignantly, most forgot, and “reality” reset once again…

@sheridan8black Cool! Really want to see that again! The Blade Runner films & Inception also had ideas ~ tho I didn’t dig Inception so much. These days, I’m skeptical about our history: 1984 seems to partly point the way for me. I wonder how much nostalgia is created & truth hidden in layers.

@caboan_music Love the track vibes: A lot of life here! My ideas sometimes start trying to imitate a style, and then change to something completely different, partly because I don't have the skills in the area, but I often like the results a bit. ☺️

Caboan / single SPEED OF LIFE out now!
Evening synth and trancepals! How do you make music? When you play a piano, when you dive into your synths, or just grab it from your head / inspiration from others? The idea for my latest track came from an old Danish hymn, and melody in my head almost instantly (5 mins).👇👇👇

@TCNewman303 Interstellar Odyssey by @TCNewman303 catches listener (:30) & easily reminds of a certain French synth artist (2:00). Exceeds its cinematic vision!

@oxygenet32 Sounds perfect! I think of your example learning from Jarre ~ since you shared your story with us earlier this year. I feel innovative when I get fired up about something at times. I think it's usually positive about my emotions releasing.

Pyramid Of Chaos - Electronic Musician
@MdSynth The Pioneers are greating starting points because you study what they did, you'll learn new techniques and then be able to move forwards - learning what you did from them and find your own sound.

@oxygenet32 💿Yes if we want to progress our sound we need to extend the album I hear music where I wish there were more risks. One reason why live music can be great is there may be space for spontaneity? Of course, the pioneers WERE pioneers, so to copy them means to innovate now, right?📀

Pyramid Of Chaos - Electronic Musician
@MdSynth Absolutely, the first thought must always be what the musician wanted. Often they wil say they wanted something different and it wil still sound the same and they don't understand why? Moving forwards doesn't mean you forget your past, but it's in addition to it.

Blindly dropping music like celebrities isn't going to yield the same results. It's a good strategy for the well-known because they already told their story, most smaller artists have not!

@brenthathaway Sounds like you're doing really well, Brent. Any vision you have is interesting to hear. I'm interested in hardware. It's cool, but my knowledge is limited. Sonic vision is also key, of course. I'm similar in that I have, and "write," a variety of stuff.

@MdSynth Vision as in sound? or hardware? Just wanted to make sure I answered this question as intended. My tastes vary, and so the stuff I write varies. If I end up as a writer for others, that's cool. One of my songs is already covered. Sound-wise I am having fun with choirs lately.

@brenthathaway My plan last year was to focus on IDM /other electronic music and to sell it, but I missed Korea so much and moved back this year. I then got the idea to mix my music (and others) with vlogging here. It's early days with all this though, so I can't be definite at all.

@MdSynth Do you record instruments as well, or is everything midi (and loops)?

@brenthathaway I used to play trumpet in the school bands a v. long time ago, so I have some basic theory and experience. I'm now "self-taught." It'd be great to re-buy a trumpet, along with other instruments, like a bass guitar/more synth gear, but I need to focus on using what I have first.😄

@brenthathaway I have 100% originals, like the backing track for my "vlog," Omma Trains, youtu.be/buhIzKzuBaI I mostly use stock virtual instruments in Apple Logic/GarageBand, tho I have plugins I hope to use. Some of my tracks are fully Logic/GB loops, but most are a mix of mine & loops.

@brenthathaway Brent, I actually need an audio interface for the MicroFreak so nothing directly recorded with this. I'm holding off on buying even the smallest thing till I get a little more stable with finance again. I may do a little tutoring, for example, then I'll feel freer to buy.

@brenthathaway Brent that's a very cool little online machine. You just put down some chords, add drums, and you've got a track. Thanks, mate!
