@BrewersRaptor think it’s the symptom of a bigger problem. My guess? Orders were issued before the season with lockout looming they aren’t going to expand payroll or start the service clock on any prospects. What you have is what you get. Murphy is trying to manage with hands tied and it shows

@notbobkoz We are 13 games into the season and I am already convinced that the orders from the owners box are to just punt on the season. Looking lockout means no major salary additions, no callups to start service clocks.

@MatthewMKE98 My off the wall take is that there is no way we see any of these guys this year. With the looming lockout next season there is no way the bring them up and start their years of service clock. For better or worse we are going to roll with the roster as is.

I would rather watch Jett Williams, Luis Lara, Cooper Pratt, or Blake Burke try and figure it out against major league pitching over whatever tf Ortiz, Perkins and Rengifo do

Trading away our star pitcher, clutch utility infielder, and the only guy who delivered anything in the postseason is certainly one way to signal FO isn’t serious about 2026 contention.

@BrewersRaptor The more you his offseason has progressed the more I am of the opinion that the Brewers are assuming there is no 2027 season and they aren’t going to do anything that would cause them to lose years of control.

Caleb Durbin was third in NL Rookie voting and seemed to be the corner infielder we haven’t had for years.
He’s traded for a young lefty Kyle Harrison, infielder David Hamilton (AAA depth, possible utility on the 40) and Shane Drohan, who was predicted to make the Sox roster.
So either the Brewers have faith that Jett or Made will make the team
Or another move is coming.
I trust Arnold, but Durbin appeared to be the 3B of the future and weakened our infield.
Again, I need to know this vision after getting to the NLCS

The Brewers are moving their TV broadcasts to MLB and away from FanDuel Sports Network, per @Ourand_Puck.
Much more info to come I’m sure, but looks like the Brewers TV broadcasts will be produced and distributed through MLB in 2026.

Slugger Eugenio Suárez and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year, $15 million contract that includes a mutual option for the 2027 season, sources tell ESPN. The best bat left on the market goes to Cincinnati, where he's expected to get most of his at-bats at DH.

The 3-peat NL Central Champion, Milwaukee #Brewers, that have made the playoffs 7 of the last 8 years and fizzled out each time due to lack of talent...are going into 2026 with a payroll outside of the Top 20 in baseball.
We're never playing for a World Series. In Milwaukee, we are just playing for fun.

@DeanoftheCourt @BrewersOfMKE I remember the late 90s early 00’s. I appreciate the winning, but the “bites of the apple” strategy clearly doesn’t work. If it did they’d at least have made a WS by now. Fact is that whenever they have holes they refuse to address them.
