@R0ug3thebat In all seriousness, both are valid in their own way. Knuckles and Rouge's ship is more for the thrill and tension. Shadow and Rouge is more for the development and long term. I personally choose the outcome that I would want for myself, which is a stable, trusting relationship.

@R0ug3thebat When Rouge is with Knuckles, she's at her best! She's possessive, manipulative, and Mischievious! Always keeping Knuckles's guard up! With Shadow (And only Shadow), she's caring, trusting and supportive or whatever, boring humane stuff like that.

I don't like when people say Shadouge doesn't work cuz Shadow doesn't show he cares about Rouge. He doesn't need to be a romantic because his love language isn't flirting, saving and protecting is Shadow's way to show he cares deeply about her. It is not one-sided.

@NamelessCode123 @Leaffiendtanuki I think some people also fail to notice that Shadow is Rouge's most sincere relationship, so when Rouge flirts with Shadow compared to others, we know that it's genuine. She wouldn't use him like that.

@Leaffiendtanuki The combination of vulnerability and flirting is too high. Rouge is too vulnerable with shadow calling him so special and that she sounds like Amy. To also being sexual and flirting. This would be like arguing that black cat would never like batman

The only real thing keeping this ship together is this line -> "Shadow... even if you believe everyone in the world will be against you, know that I'll always remain by your side. Remember that." Other than that it just feels like 2 coworkers.

@confess_cuphead I think what MDHR means when they are "More like kidults" is that they are whatever the story needs them to be. If the story needs them in kid themes, they are kids. If the story show them in adult themes, they are adults. (Schools, Casinos, etc.)
