🧵 1/2 Demonstrated culture drives trust in whether it’s safe/relevant to remain engaged on a platform; amplify content to our networks, or trust in reliable information. When safety + credibility are consistently questionable, a platform has lost its relevance and becomes moot.

🧵 1/2 Social media is not “a platform”. It’s not technology-dependent communication. It’s a microuniverse of interconnected (often ephemeral) digital public-spheres, and we should all consistently re-evaluate the safety of the community spaces we have agreed/chosen to engage in.
