@MeGailithic Sorry to hear this, Gail. I stay because there are some fantastic accounts which are not elsewhere. And free. I do lurk in another place & have dormant accounts on IG and LinkedIn. Perhaps I should reinstate my IG account but I’ve only the energy to do one place! Keep in touch!

@ashlarblocks I've seen senior academics harassed by deans, for example, until they resigned. Nacissistic, aggressive, it's all about me kind of bosses. They definitely need to be brought down.

@MeGailithic Thank you for your kindness & understanding. This time it was someone in the middle that had it in for me. When I saw no obituary (even a polite nod), I realized they had no bottom.

My institution made my job unbearable before terminating me after 3 early promotions, 19 years of good/outstanding performance reviews, & just one day of teaching missed as I continued to teach during 3 months of Chemo. 🧵
