Loved the first “Shadow Thieves” by @PeterEBurns. “Island of Skulls” is a brilliant sequel. It takes us back into that amazing world. It is a high-stakes adventure packed with danger and mystery. From ruthless enemies to booby-trapped ruins, it’s unputdownable. Fabulous!

Lucy Strange is one of only a handful of authors who gets automatic promotion to the top of my reading pile. Murder on a Midsummer Night is an absolute treat. A cosy midsummer murder, combining mystery and suspense with a wide range of eccentric characters. It's a lot of fun.

@DeputyGrocott I've tried so many ways of showing this and it's never quite worked!We tried lengths of rope with ribbons for key events on the school field, toilet paper (where each sheet =100 years) and various other bits but never quite catches the scope of the different periods. Good luck!

I know asking for resources is a bit old hat on here now 😔 but I’m looking to get the children to create a ‘big picture’ history timeline. So putting key events and civilizations in one timeline so they can see where the Ancient Greeks ‘fit’. Does anyone have anything like this?
